On Wednesday, two people were injured and one killed in a three-vehicle collision along State Route 15 in Goshen. According to the Goshen Police Department, the crash occurred at approximately 2:28 p.m. in the 800 block of North Main Street.
Two of the drivers were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries and the driver of the third car, a young Goshen woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials have not yet released any additional information and an investigation into the accident is ongoing.
Multi-vehicle accidents often result in devastating outcomes due to the force of multiple impacts – often from different angles. When more than two vehicles are involved, the risk of serious injury or fatality increases significantly, especially for those caught between cars or struck at high speeds.
Multi-car crashes often lead to chain reactions that give drivers little time to react or avoid impact, which can result in a wider range of injuries, from whiplash and broken bones to Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBIs) or death.
