Ms. Kamel is a criminal defense attorney representing individuals facing charges and other legal matters affecting their freedom, driving privileges, and livelihoods. Her experience as both a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney and a Public Defender provides valuable insight into the criminal justice system and informs the strategic, individualized approach she brings to each case.

Before joining the firm, Ms. Kamel investigated cold-case homicides with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and wrongful convictions in Indiana. Her work led to a vacated 25-year-old murder conviction. She also practiced civil rights litigation and is published on exoneration compensation laws.

Mr. Kakarala is a personal injury lawyer, concentrating his practice on car and truck accidents, slip and falls, wrongful death, and other serious injury claims. With a background spanning engineering, public service, and litigation, he brings a methodical approach to case preparation and a strong commitment to helping clients understand their legal options throughout the process.

Before joining Wilson & Kinsman, LLC, Mr. Kakarala practiced immigration law. He served as both a Deputy Public Defender and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, handling a broad range of legal matters and litigating numerous bench and jury trials. His experience on both sides of the courtroom informs his approach to negotiation, case strategy, and trial preparation.
